LemonAid is breaking away from LemonTree Project
As of January 2009 the LemonAid will run as an independent project, the LemonAid project will concentrate only on the BIM side of the LemonTree Project, this allows us to move faster if necessary without affecting/waiting for the LemonTree.
A new Blog will be setup very soon.

BIM and the Lemon Tree Project
Everybody is talking about BIM, the ability to work on the one Architectural model and share information between different consultants regardless of the software one uses.
The common language to connect them all is IFC, (Industry Foundation Classes) is known by most professionals simply as a data model developed by the IAI (International Alliance for Interoperability).
To date, there are many obstacles on the way to Nirvana.
so, what we are saying is, forget IFC for the moment and let's see how we can work in a BIM environment using one suite of software: Revit.
We now have a full team:
Fairweather Proberts - Architects. Contact: Paul Fairweather, Eldad Asoulin
Mitchell Brandtman - Quantity Surveyors. Contact: David Mitchell, Maoibh Russel
Robert Birds - Structural Engineers. Contact: Jason Beutel, Adrian Worboys
Wood Grieve Engineers - MEP & Energy analysis (Green Star). Contact: Terence Ong
Queensland University of Technology - Programming support and research. Contact: Professor John Frazer, David Nielsen, Stephan Gard
We are going to create a virtual building and document the process of working together.
Exciting time ahead...
